A Strong Foundation in Finance & Strategy After earning a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Plymouth, James launched his career at Allen & Overy in 2007—one of the world's leading law firms—where he trained as a Chartered Management Accountant. He then played a pivotal role in the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games, serving as a Management Accountant for four years. This high-pressure environment honed his ability to deliver financial clarity and strategic insights. Corporate Finance & Interim Management Inspired by his work on one of the world's most iconic projects, James spent the next five years delivering major financial projects as an Interim Accountant with globally recognised firms, including Waitrose, Johnson & Johnson, and Autodesk. These experiences strengthened his capability to drive financial strategy, navigate fast-paced business environments, and achieve measurable results. Helping SMEs thrive In 2018, James shifted focus from corporate finance to working directly with SMEs—a transformative shift that enabled him to collaborate with ambitious entrepreneurs across various industries.
